As we have discussed in class, September 15 to October 15 is Hispanic Heritage Month.  For this assignment, you will have a choice to complete any of the following:

1.  Tell five different ways that Hispanic culture has influenced your own personal life.  Be specific and write the information in paragraph form.  (Don't just list the five things--explain them and give examples)

2.  Discuss three ways Hispanic culture has affected our country.  You may want to focus on current political issues (immigration, borders, etc), geographical areas where Hispanic heritage has made an especially strong mark, or the influence Hispanic heritage has had on our language (s) here in the United States.

3.  If you are Hispanic, tell about four different traditions/customs observed or practiced by your family that relate to Hispanic culture.

4.  Research a famous or influential Hispanic person (living or dead).  Tell three accomplishments of the person.
